Developmental editing is an in-depth analysis of suggested changes, adjustments, and potential avenues of exploration for the writer to improve their work. Developmental editing occurs during different stages of the writing process, from the outline to the first and final draft. Whereas an editorial assessment is a more affordable summary of potential improvements for your work.
